The principal aim of MUDRA is to foster the growth of the micro-enterprise sector in the nation by providing many forms of assistance, such as refinancing, in order to accomplish the purpose of “funding the unfunded.” The functions and duties of MUDRA were outlined in the GOI Press release dated March 2, 2015.
GOI has since decided that MUDRA will also promote refinancing, oversee the web site and PMMY data, enable the provision of guarantees for loans made under PMMY, and undertake additional tasks as allocated from time to time. Consequently, MUDRA has been performing these duties for the past 12 months.
The following are the main obstacles that the numerous microbusinesses around the nation must overcome:
To be the world's preeminent provider of integrated financial and support services, measured against international best practices and standards, for the entire economic and social development of the world's poor.
In order to achieve financial security and economic success, we want to establish an inclusive, sustainable, and values-based entrepreneurial culture in partnership with our partner institutions.
Our main goal is to assist and promote partner institutions, foster an environment that fosters growth for the microenterprise sector, and achieve development in a way that is both inclusive and sustainable.
